Honestly, I do not consider myself much of a blogger. I have a passion for what I do. I have a passion on what I believe in. I am who I am. My name is Kathy Burrell. I am from Atlanta, Ga. I currently reside in Baton Rouge, La with my husband Eric Burrell and my son Brian Burrell. We are expecting our baby girl Katelynn Marie Burrell to make her way into to the world in about another week. I’m sure you can imagine we are ready for her to get here. I consider myself a God fearing women. I don’t consider myself to be this perfect Christian women. I do try to live right. I am a stay at home mom. I consider myself to be an entrepreneur. I have always wanted to be in business for myself and having time for my family. Being pregnant, a wife, and a mom is the hardest job in the world. It’s rewarding but it’s hard and sometimes they can be a pain in my ass. Hey it’s life right. Meet Katelynn Marie Burrell

It’s been awhile since I posted my thoughts. It’s been tiring and busy for the past month. I am enjoying my princess and been tired at the same time. I will continue to keep you guys posted. Talk to you soon!

No excuses…

It’s almost 5am in Louisiana. These contractions are kicking my behind. But I’m not making excuses. Just recently, I sent out a lot of samples to random people for a product I am launching. I am still coming up with other business ideas on advertising locally and through social media. I’m not making excuses. Contraction and baby on the way soon I’m not making excuses.

When you have a passion for something, no matter what the odds are, go after for what you want. Believe in what you do and have passion about it. You see, I have learned consumers buy based on what they believe and the passion people have behind what they are selling. It’s not always about the product, it’s about how you make them feel and how what relationship you have with a person. All it take is one person. That one person can change your life. That is what I believe. Yes I am strong believer in my product and my passion to help everyone who likes natural products is strong. For those who have a passion on what they believe in weather it’s a Product, your opinion, or whatever it is, no excuses. Believe and run with it. Tell the whole world and no excuses. When things never goes as plan…

So today, my husband and I went to our weekly doctors visit to check on baby Katelynn. The doctor was going strip my membrane from my cervix again. I was like “oh no not again.” Last week, the doctor stripped my membranes to get me dilate. I was in so much pain that I could not take it again. She got me to dilate to 1cm last week. So this week, she checked my cervix and I’m still at 1cm. I was pissed off. I tried everything to progress my labor and still no progress. I was trying to have a VBAC and unfortunately that is not in plan.

The doctor is scheduling for a C-section on Monday 10/2/2017. Honestly, my feelings are hurt. I am currently 40 weeks and I have to have another C-section. But although I will not have my VBAC, I can’t say that I did not try. I cannot make my body do what I want it to do. On the bright side, she will be here Monday and we get to see our princess finally.

I know a lot of women probably go through what I am going through. I may have carried her full term but if my body will not dilate, we cannot make our bodies do what we want to do. It does not make us less of a mother or the ability to bear children. We as women and mothers are special in our way and our bodies are all made up differently. I think that once we accept who we are and our bodies for what they are, then society cannot dictate what is right and what is wrong when it comes to bearing children. We as women can be hard and critical of ourselves. I personally wanted through the experience of going through labor. Although my body is doing everything as normal; my body will not dilate. Once we accept that our bodies cannot and will not do certain things, just know there is always a reason for everything. Keep us in your prayers on Monday as we are about to go through a major surgery and a whole new life change. Thank you guys for your support.

Katelynn’s Baby Bag and my Purse…

My husband is a sweetheart. Considering he is very conservative with money, he never ceases to amaze me. I have been asking for a baby bag that is girl and classy. What I asked for, he said “No it’s too expensive. Of course I’m like okay, I will get it myself. Then I started to order the bag I wanted, he throws the box on the bed and said “this is not for you, it’s for Katelynn.” I looked in the box, and there was my baby bag/purse. I looked at him and I tried to give the nutcase a hug and he is like “I got to give you a hard time.” Ladies tell me, why do our men like to give us a hard. He lives to say no, I’m not doing it. Men, we love them and can’t stand them at the same time. Anyhow, I wanted to show you guys the baby bag my husband got for Katelynn. Tell me what you guys think.

Any Day Now…

For those who have been pregnant and your waiting for your baby’s arrival, I’m sure you can relate how much of a pain that can be. Your anxious and your looking for every little sign of labor to get over with and to hold your little bundle of joy. Last week I went to the doctor and she forced me into 1cm. Mind you, I’m was 38 weeks at the time, and I have never had so much pain in my life. It felt like she was taking my entire fist and ripping my inside of my ho ha out. For my moms out there, I’m sure you can relate to what I’m talking about. She wanted my husband and to have sex more but honestly, that was uncomfortable but we did what we had to do. Im due 9/30/2017 and I swear I’m so ready for the baby to get her. Hopefully, this will help settle my 7 year old down with behavior and school. As moms, we take on so much and sometimes, we can get physically and mentally stressed the hell out. But I would not trade it in for the world. Baby Katelynn we are waiting for your arrival. The stress of being a mom/wife

I’m sure most moms can relate to this, but being a mom is the most rewarding, but the hardest and stressful part of life. Catering to little human beings that have so much personality can be a pain in the ass. Every morning before school, I get my son up for breakfast and while eating breakfast, I iron his clothes. Every morning “Mom, I want this for breakfast.” “ Mom I don’t like this.” “Mom I’m sleepy.” Mom….. after awhile you get tired of hearing mom. Sometimes, your you get to a point were you just want to run away from them. Even your husband at times. Sometimes they can be even more of the bigger child at times. Now tell me what mother and wife cannot relate to that.

Although it’s stressful and you want to pull your hair out at times, I would not trade them in for the world. You love them so much and you know they cannot be without you. You know you are the heart and soul of the family. Yes husband/Dad provides, but we as moms and women are the heart, brain, soul, and the foundation for our families. It’s stressful but it’s rewarding at the same time. Still doesn’t mean that I want to strangle them at times(just a figure of speech.) To my mothers and wives out there, you are doing an amazing job. There is no right or wrong way of being the perfect mother or wife. We get stressed out and it’s okay. But we are built to handle so many things and still nurture the little creatures we brought into this world. We take on the world with our bare hands and still take care of people we love.
